As part of his ongoing road trip, former Indian captain Srinivasan is heading to Bengaluru for a road test on February 12.
“I want to play for Bengaluru.
I have been looking forward to this for some time now,” said Srinasan.”
The last time I played for Bengalu was in the 2012-13 season.
I am looking forward with the same enthusiasm to play against them again.”
On the eve of the start of the Bengaluru Test series, Srinasaan and his team-mates have a test at the Bangalore Sports Club.
He will take his team to the city for a drive from his home in the city of Pune to Bengalu for a three-match test against the Bengal Tigers on February 10.
“We will be playing for a Test against Bengaluru on February 11, 11 and 12.
We are looking forward very much to this game,” said the veteran cricketer, who retired in 2016 after a career spanning nearly 50 years.”
There are a lot of factors that go into playing for Bengaluros.
But my focus will always be on the game and the team,” Srinath added.
The former India captain had played for both the home and away sides in his career.
The series between the two rivals began in April 2016 with the home side taking a 2-0 lead in the first Test.
Srinatasam, who was born in Pune, retired as a cricketers in July 2014.
In 2014, the two sides played out a historic series in which the home team won the series 4-0.
Sankaracharya and the hosts thrashed the visitors, but Srinatsan’s team lost in the last Test to the Bengal tigers.
